Entering Static Balance program on SICE, Corghi, Mondolfo, and HPA LED balancers

A question we are often asked relating to wheel balancing in rural Australia is “How do I enter the static balance program?”

The static balance program is quite important for 4X4 where the operator does not have time to perform run out compensation and optimisation of the tyre and wheel.

In the past this was a very simple program to get into, but over the years it has become increasingly complex to enter the “Static balance program” on the Nexion (Corghi, HPA, Mondolfo, SICE) group of balancers. Especially on LED displays.

For some reson the manuals available have not been very easy to find this information in either.

We can let you know that – unless things have been tampered with – this is very simple.

1: Enter your dimensions in the clip-on/clip-on weight program which is the default on balancers.

2: Lower the hood to operate the balancer.

3: Now that the weight is showing press button marked 3 – twice and then button marked 5 – twice.

This will make the relevant calculations and divert the weight into the centre of the wheel.

4: Place the weights on in the lit position and perform a check spin.
